The Maison

An image, a material,
an edition.

Approach

Maison GJVS always begins with a photograph: a rock, a bloom, a detail observed too closely to remain merely descriptive. The image is then composed, scaled, and printed on a fabric chosen for the way it holds the light.

We publish in short collections. Each collection brings together four motifs across a handful of formats, then makes way for the next. This pace is not a strategy of scarcity: it is simply the time it takes to photograph, compose, print and hem a piece properly.

Each piece is conceived as a wearable work. A square can be knotted, draped, stretched on a frame or hung. Nothing in the composition forces a choice.
